Toad on the Road

My friend Abilena found a toad.

On the road, trying to hide near a fence.

Later she saw a jack-rabbit bound across a very busy 4 lane highway.

The toad didn't come home with Abi, due to worries about prey animals in the neighborhood such as felines, canines and the wayward young of humans.



The hare didn't come home for obvious reasons.
Can't catch 'em.

Toad and hare sightings are uplifting. Brings good news: nature is hanging on.
